Atlanta Metro Manager of Instruction
While at New College, I designed a degree in History and Social Theory which let me read as widely as I wanted in fields as diverse as I could justify. I started the doctoral program in American History at NYU in 2001, working on a dissertation dealing with piracy, slavery, and American expansion along the Gulf Coast in the early 19th century. In 2007-8, I was a Visiting Fellow in the History department at Harvard University.
For fun, I adore ping-pong, early '90s hip-hop, and maximizing my beach time.
