Welcome to my region.
I’m excited to have brought together dynamic instructors from a wide range of backgrounds and who have a variety of interests. I’ve hired writers, engineers, musicians, teachers, lawyers, actors, biologists, psychologists, and even another Jeopardy champion. But we all work with a singular goal in mind: to be the best teacher you have ever had.
From San Luis Obispo to Torrance to Rancho Cucamonga (and everywhere in between!), Revolution Prep instructors truly are the most intelligent, the most energetic, and the most qualified to lead students to success, both on their standardized tests and beyond.

I started my college career at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles, where I picked up a BA in Philosophy and then an MA in Religion. From there, I took a journey across the pond in order to attend the Oxford University, where I received an MPhil degree. I am currently finishing up my PhD at UC Santa Barbara, and loving every minute of it.
I stay active by hiking, surfing, playing basketball, and going to the gym. I love to write and just published my first co-authored book on Christian mysticism. When I have free time, you can find me camping with friends, watching Lost, or planning my next adventure to a far away land.
I have been in school my whole life, so I know the pressure students face, especially when preparing for an important exam. I am constantly working on ways to help students not only learn the material at hand, but to become better, more effective test takers. I know what it is like to be a student and I know what it is like to have high goals. I teach for Revolution because I love helping students reach their goals and seeing them succeed.

I spent a lovely four years at USC and earned two degrees in Neuroscience and Psychology and a minor in Psychology and Law (that's always a mouthful). After applying to graduate and law schools (can we say more standardized tests?), I settled down in beautiful Santa Barbara to start a PhD program in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience. In addition to doing research on legal reasoning, I am a teaching assistant in the Psychology department. I found my love for teaching (and my upbeat, humorous teaching style ;) in the first class I lectured for and I have never looked back!
I love it when my students have those 'A-ha!' moments and conquer a question or topic they thought was impossible.
Students are needlessly intimidated by the SAT! With a little preparation, it's the easiest and least time-consuming way to make yourself a GREAT college applicant. Who doesn't love a shortcut?

I am an Environmental Science and Management Master's student at UCSB. Since graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in anthropology, I found myself gravitating towards teaching jobs--after-school science and magic classes, swim lessons, and, of course, the SAT. Besides teaching, traveling and the outdoors are my biggest passions, both of which scuba diving, trekking, and roadtripping fulfill. I want to eventually return to Africa, where I have previously worked among chimpanzees and coral reefs, to contribute to community conservation efforts of marine habitats.
I love the challenge of teaching, the high stakes involved in SAT prep, and the approach Revolution takes to learning.
