Melvin Bray

Melvin B.

Hometown: Washington, D.C.
College: Oakwood College--Huntsville, AL
Resides in: Austell, GA

About Me:
I love teenagers (kids in general), and want to see them come into their own. What more is there to say? Here are some peculiar kinds of things. I'm a worm-rancher. That's right--got about a half million of them. They eat my garbage. A few years ago I won an Emmy™. That's right--an actual National Academy of Television Arts and Science's Emmy™. Yeah, its just for local programming, but it's an Emmy™ nonetheless! As young as I may look, I'm married (10 years now) and the father of 3. Our oldest is 3, the middle is 1.5 and the youngest is TBB (To Be Born, probably Nov. 3). I went to college to become a pastor, came out a Language Arts teacher, became a small business consultant, served as a principal for a few years, am the director of a nonprofit called Kid Cultivators and am an active part of a growing, generative friendship called Emergent. I am a learner, teacher, writer, storyteller, lover of people, connoisseur of creativity and believer in possibilities. I can't imagine anything else you could possibly want to know, assuming you even wanted to know that much :-).

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Because they've never turned down a student for financial reasons! I love that.

Susie Kwon

Susie K.

Hometown: Charlotte, NC
College: Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech)
Resides in: Atlanta, GA

About Me:
I am a student at Georgia Tech majoring in biochemistry -- so yeah, I still go through what you guys go through... homework and such. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! I am...a black belt in Taekwondo (so don't mess with me ^_^) and just started learning how to play a guitar... My hometown is Charlotte, I will always love it, and Atlanta still scares me.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
For the love of teaching, OF COURSE!

Kelly Santini

Kelly S.

Hometown: New Lothrop, MI
College: University of Michigan
Resides in: Atlanta, GA

About Me:
I grew up in a small farming community in the middle of Michigan. After six years at the University of Michigan and three degrees, I've finally settled in Atlanta! I currently work as a Safety Engineer, keeping employees safe while at work. These days, you'll find me spending every spare moment planning my upcoming wedding.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
In my full time job, I do a lot of training for adults who are not interested in learning and have no motivation. High school kids want to get into the best colleges and are highly motivated to do so. It is more rewarding to teach those who want to learn! I wish Rev Prep would have been around to help me!!
