Anne Azarovitz

Anne A.

Hometown: Redford, MI
College: Eastern Michigan University
Resides in: Costa Mesa, CA

About Me:
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit and recently moved to Southern California. So yes, I have a love for snow (mostly just around the holidays), a great appreciation for trees that change colors in the fall, and can always tell people where I am from by pointing to an area on my hand. I graduated summa cum laude (with highest academic honors) from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Education. More specifically, I was a math major and early childhood education minor. I truly enjoy teaching - any grade, any subject! I like almost any sport with the most recent being snowboarding (but ouch does that hurt the first time you try). I am a loyal Detroit Red Wings fan. I have an obsession with eating out (maybe it has to do with my cooking skills), Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, Sudoku puzzles, pet stores, and board games.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I want to help students get into the college of their choice and Revolution does just that. The SAT and ACT tests are everything but straightforward and full of twists and turns (oddly fun to some). Revolution offers students the opportunity to prepare for exams in a different, affordable way. We don’t expect you to complete the 800 page study guide books where you sit and do problem after problem on your own – I know it sounds extremely tempting. Revolution makes it fun and entertaining (yes, I said FUN!) and along the way you will be taught strategies that you will take on throughout life.

Christina Bach

Christina B.

Hometown: Anaheim, CA
College: UC San Diego
Resides in: Anaheim, CA

About Me:
I graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor's in Biochemistry, and since one degree wasn't enough, I picked up a Bachelor's in Sociology, too. Currently, I'm working on my plan to take over the world. We'll see how that goes. So, about me: I read the end of novels before I read everything else because I can't stand not knowing what happens in the end. I like the way people's noses turn red when its really cold outside. I sing really loud in my car, and I am not embarrassed. I collect free pens (come on, they're free!). I love hot coffee on cold days, fat babies, board games, and boys who make me laugh. My family and friends are the loves of my life. Oh, and, I never shut up.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Everyone should be afforded an opportunity to go to the college of their choice. Revolution Prep makes that possible all the while instilling confidence into students that they can take with them wherever they go. That, and I loved high school (almost as much as I loved college), so what better way to relive my glory days than to go back?

Timothy Beaman

Timothy B.

Hometown: Huntington Beach, CA
College: Northeastern University
Resides in: Huntington Beach, CA

About Me:
I attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where I studied Civil Engineering. While attending school I took a short break to live and work in Brisbane, Queensland Australia. After four winters and completing my degree I accepted a job in Irvine, CA working as a water/wastewater engineer. In my free time I travel (recently visiting Mexico, Portugal, and Spain), ski (North Star Lake Tahoe), camp (Joshua Tree, Borrego Springs, and Big Sur), and read (mostly non-fiction and travel guides).

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Revolution Prep allows me to help students who are looking to better their future rather then simply pass a single class.

Bradley Clarke

Bradley C.

Hometown: Adair Village, OR
College: Biola University
Resides in: Hamden, CT

About Me:
I love music, reading, writing, football, and of course, teaching!

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Teaching is a great experience for me because it allows me to directly help students in a way that will affect the trajectory of their lives over the coming years. The people at Revolution are fantastic- it's a great place to work!

Kim Dao

Kim D.

Hometown: Omaha, NE
College: Cal State Fullerton
Resides in: Placentia, CA

About Me:
I'm originally from Omaha, NE, and no, I have never been cow tipping. I only watch cartoons and I can probably text message faster than all of your friends. In my free time, I like to play video games and volunteer at the bunny shelter (not at the same time). I've been tutoring for over 2 years and I've taught everything from how to write the alphabet to how to follow electrons through photosynthesis. I have a bachelor's degree in finance and an associate's degree in chemistry...so I can tell you about treasury bonds as well as hydrogen bonds...

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
The SAT is intimidating, but once you learn its little tricks, you can use it to show colleges how smart you are. Not only that, but the methods you learn to beat the SAT can be used for college, grad school, your future job, getting a date, shopping for pants, etc...

Mindi Ehrlich

Mindi E.

Hometown: Bakersfield, CA
College: UC Berkeley and CSU Long Beach
Resides in: Signal Hill, CA

About Me:
I liked getting a Bachelor's degree so much that I am doing it again! After graduating from Berkeley in 2003 in International Relations and French, I worked for a travel guidebook publisher and wrote for a political news organization before deciding to release my inner fat lady diva and become an opera singer. I am currently getting a Bachelor's of Music at CSU Long Beach.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I think that everyone should take a formal SAT prep course and Revolution Prep is committed to giving that opportunity to everyone, so we're like peanut butter and jelly, really.

Cindy Fang

Cindy F.

Hometown: Lakewood, California
College: University of California- Los Angeles
Resides in: Lakewood, CA

About Me:
I lived in gloomy London (England) until the age of 12, so I don't think I ever want to move out of sunny Southern California! I finished my undergraduate education at UCLA in June 2007, where I double majored in Economics and International Development Studies, tutored underprivileged students/athletes, participated in various extracurricular activities, and had the best four years of my life. I am currently taking a post-college breather before starting Law School in 2009, and I hope to work for a non-profit international organization in the future. I am obsessed with professional tennis, although I play very poorly myself, and I have a cat named Cat! I love to travel and have backpacked throughout Europe twice, and I plan on traveling to Southeast Asia in the next possible opportunity. I also love to read, and my ideal way of spending a Sunday afternoon would be to go to a beach/park, with a good book and a cup of hot coffee!

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I love working with students! Since I had such a great time in college, I want to help everyone I possibly can to be able to enjoy the same experiences I fortunately had. I hated the SAT, took a course to prepare for it, and now I wish Revolution Prep was around when I was a SAT test-taker. I have taught at other independent SAT prep companies in the past, but now I teach at Revolution Prep because it is better: better curriculum, better teacher, and consequently better SAT-takers.

James Gerber

James G.

Hometown: New York, NY
College: Tufts University
Resides in: Newport Beach, CA

About Me:
Born and raised in New Jersey (with stints in NYC, Boston and D.C.), I've been an unequivocal East Coaster for much of my life. After attending Tufts University in Massachusetts and finishing with a degree in Political Science, I set out to begin my career in journalism with no idea where I'd end up. Fortunately, my first job offer was in Southern California. I had never been west of Pennsylvania, but I'm not one to shy away from exciting new challenges, and have been loving my new West Coast life since the day I arrived. Besides my love of news, politics and teaching, I'm an avid fan of all things music and sports, and frequently take advantage of the sunny SoCal weather to play tennis, basketball or volleyball in February. I also enjoy occasionally calling my friends and family back East in the winter time just to ask, "what's the weather like there?"

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Not only does Revolution Prep have the best curriculum in the game, but they approach the business with an admirable philosophy: everyone should be given the opportunity to go to the college of their choice. It was this combination of a winning program with a fantastic social mission that drew me to RevPrep.

Brett Herman

Brett H.

Hometown: Placentia, CA
College: Cal State Long Beach
Resides in: Placentia, CA

About Me:
I was born and raised in Orange County, California. Deciding I had had enough of sunshine and freeways I decided to attend UC: Santa Cruz for undergrad work, but, I was ever drawn back to my sun-drenched, grid-locked homeland. I'm currently completing my college work with medical school in mind for the future. I hope to be a doctor and work with children and families for the rest of my life.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
With academics and extra curriculars and just being kids, high school students don't have a lot of time to jump through the very important and super imposing SAT hoop. However, Revolution Prep's methods to the madness are the best I've ever seen, and its an absolute joy to spend time with high school kids and help them attain their college dreams.

Ryan Hoskins

Ryan H.

Hometown: San Clemente
College: University of California, Irvine
Resides in: San Clemente, CA

About Me:
I was born, and somewhat raised in Orange County. As long as I can remember, I've been reading. I'm a bit of a nerd about it. My mom gave me "The Caine Mutiny" to read when I was six, and while I'm sure I didn't get half of what was going on, I was still captivated. Since then, I've wanted to be a writer. At UC Irvine, I got the chance to really devote myself to the craft of writing, and in that four years of attempted monkish devotion, I also discovered a love of theater, film, and performing. I found myself spending all four years in UCI's award-winning comedy group, "Live Nude People! (with clothes on)", performing and eventually leading the group and teaching workshops on the hows, whats and whys of improvisational comedy. Since graduation, I've been writing (of course), I spent a good amount of time working in professional theater down in San Diego, and now I'm back in my home county and very happy to be working for Revolution.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I love the drive that I've seen from the students in Revolution prep classes. They're goal-oriented, they're driven, they have a lot of stake in what they're doing. I really admire that, and, in teaching here, I get the chance to help as best as I can. It's exciting.

Steve Iberri

Steve I.

Hometown: Tustin, CA
College: University of California, Irvine
Resides in: Tustin, CA

About Me:
I've lived in Irvine, Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Orange, and now I live in Tustin. Maybe eventually I could just live in every city in Orange County. I prefer Winter to Summer because I am always hot and possibly allergic to hot weather. I like to camp, and everyone knows there's nothing worse than trying to sleep in a tent when it's hot outside. I like to eat hot foods, especially breakfast foods like eggs, breakfast potatoes, ham, and sausage. When it's cold, it's much easier to enjoy these foods. I also like to drink coffee, and while an iced coffee in the heat is very enjoyable, hot coffee is much easier to make at home and just as enjoyable in the cold. Other than really, really appreciating cold weather, I like watching mixed martial arts (Fedor), baseball (Dodgers), basketball (Lakers), and football (I don't have a team). I work out usually three times a week, which, by the way, is another activity better suited for cold weather. I don't do any fancy group aerobics or machines, I just pick up heavy things. It's cathartic. My dream is to become a world renowned butcher, for the following reasons: 1. The work attire is set. No worrying about suits or ties. 2. It is very cold. 3. Mustaches are encouraged. 4. Free meat.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Mainly because I like teaching and interacting with young, interesting people. Why the SAT? I can just imagine the joy the test writers get out of students falling for their tricks, and taking that from them feels pretty good.

Daniel Landesberg

Daniel L.

Hometown: Briarcliff Manor, NY
College: University of Maryland-College Park
Resides in: Huntington Beach, CA

About Me:
I've been living in Huntington Beach, CA since July of 2007- after I graduated college, I moved out here from New York. I love sports, particularly basketball and football, music, going to the beach, and traveling. My goal is to travel to all 50 states at some point in my life (I have over 30 under my belt already!). I work in sales full-time as a consultant for a local transportation/logistics provider. I graduated the University of Maryland with University Honors, and completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminology & Criminal Justice. I scored 1440 on my SAT - good for 98% percentile. Also, I scored 770 on the Writing SAT II (the 3-part SAT I came later!)

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
With Revolution, I feel like I can have a profound impact on students' lives. College was an absolutely amazing experience- I went to a great school, learned alot, loved the freedom, had a blast, and made some lifelong friends. Anyone who wants to get into the school of their dreams should be given the tools to do so!

Brian Manchester

Brian M.

Hometown: Yorba Linda
College: Biola
Resides in: Yorba Linda, CA

About Me:
I am currently enjoying my post-graduation life by teaching here at Revolution and playing music as much as I can in my spare time. In college I studied Theology. It is safe to say though, that I am a huge fan of all things humanities (I still like math and the sciences). In fact, the class that I probably had the most fun in was a Creative Writing Short Story Fiction class. I am an avid reader and was fortunate enough to be a part of a four-year classics program at Biola. Beyond the academic and musical sides of me, I have many interests. I love to both play and follow both basketball and football. I am also a big movie fan. Though I don't know too much about it, I find astronomy and related fields absolutely riveting. I love to run. I love nature, whether it be a nice beach or a beautiful forest. My favorite food is my mom's homemade chicken tacos. And the list goes on.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Considering that I love to both learn and teach, Revolution's commitment to the expansion of the mind makes it the perfect place for me to land. Revolution does not believe in knowledge acquisition for the mere sake of information overload, but believes in teaching its students how to think well. In other words, Revolution strives to form healthy minds. As such, I jumped at the opportunity to join its ranks. Sure students will gain a tremendous amount of knowledge, but they will also leave with healthy minds, ready to do well in all of life's pursuits.

Sarah Martin

Sarah M.

Hometown: San Diego
College: U.C. Irvine/Columbia University
Resides in: Newport Beach, CA

About Me:
I was born in Allentown, PA, grew up in San Diego, and lived in Orange County while attending UCI…Go Anteaters!! After four unbelievably fun years, I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. After graduation I moved to the Big Apple to pursue a Masters Degree in Psychology and Education at Columbia University’s Teachers College. As a little blonde girl from CA, I am proud to say I successfully survived New York City. Naturally, I moved back west to live by the beach. I have a ton of interests and am always looking for more. Football is one of my favorite sports and I am a HUGE Chargers fan...don’t get me started on the Patriots game this year! I love snowboarding, riding horses, kickboxing, running, and I am learning how to surf and golf. Traveling is also a big passion of mine. This last year I was lucky enough to go to Europe, the Galapagos Islands, and Peru...good times!

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I had a blast in college and I don't want some silly standardized test to stand in the way of other students having a great college experience. Revolution Prep is a great company that really cares about the students and knows how to make SAT prep fun. I love to teach and help others take on challenges, so bring on the SAT!

Rafael Oania

Rafael O.

Hometown: Huntington Beach CA
College: Loyola Marymount University
Resides in: huntington beach, CA

About Me:
I have just recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a bachelors degree in biology in May 2009. I am currently taking some time off of school before I begin to apply to medical school for the fall of 2011. With my time off, I am looking to obtain a desirable MCAT score that will lead me to the best medical schools in California seeing as I would like to stay in California.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I teach for Revelution prep because I am a firm believer in their curriculum and can say that the curriculum does work. Also, Revelution is an outstanding company offering scholarships to kids that need help the most. The company does not seek to solely make money (unlike many other corporate companies), but truly cares about the success of their students and takes pride in the curriculum and the work that they do.

Faith Oh

Faith O.

Hometown: La Mirada, CA
College: UCLA
Resides in: La Habra, CA

About Me:
I was born and raised in Southern California in a small (well, small back then) town called La Mirada. I ended up staying in So Cal and went to the best school ever- UCLA! Go Bruins! While I was there, I found the love of my life- bacteria! :o) I also discovered that I love to cook/bake for others, play sports [especially football- I play center so don't mess with me (:], feed/talk to homeless people, take busses, travel to Thailand, take care of those around me, and listen to good music with good lyrics. I plan to pursue a career Nursing and/or Public Health, then get married and pursue justice. In the meanwhile, I just want to be here for you guys! :o)

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I must say, I first liked Revolution because of the name. But seriously, that's what they're really about- a REVOLUTION. No more boring and stressful SAT work. Instead, it's about learning to put your heart into everything you do- SAT, college, life- and have tons of fun while doing it.

Jay K. Raja

Jay K. R.

Hometown: San Jose
College: Chapman University
Resides in: Orange, CA

About Me:
I'm a third year undergrad making movies over Chapman. I have an addiction to honey mustard which makes day to day life difficult, but I am committed to change.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Because the SAT doesn't have to be scary or even particularly difficult. I remember my prep during high school being akin to a skin graft and I intend to make it better for students who are dealing with it now.

Eric Rath

Eric R.

Hometown: Orange, CA
College: U.C. Berkeley
Resides in: Orange, CA

About Me:
I was born and raised in Orange County and recently graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a major in Anthropology. I like to surf, sail, and I have a dream to live on a self sustaining soybean farm somewhere with clean water, good soil, and great waves, but maybe that's just the Berkeley in me talking...

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
College is such an incredible experience that I want to help make college accessible to everyone and ease the application process by showing that the SAT is not as intimidating as it may seem.

Holly Ratzlaff

Holly R.

Hometown: Eugene, OR
College: University of Notre Dame
Resides in: Foothill Ranch, CA

About Me:
I arrived in Orange County in 2005 via Los Angeles, via Angers, France (yay eclairs!), via South Bend, IN (yay Irish!) , via Eugene, OR (yay rain!). I have been an actress, a teacher, a bartender and an advertising agency executive. Currently, I am a "mommy" and working on my next profession: "lawyer." I love Notre Dame football, dessert, traveling and making people laugh. I live with my wonderful scuba diving, chiropractic husband and our brand new baby girl, Emory.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Revolution Prep's curriculum is everything I wish MY SAT prep had been.. strategic, straightforward and, dare I say it, fun! (AND sometimes I throw candy out at students. Why didn't my teachers throw candy at me?!?)

Laurel Reese

Laurel R.

Hometown: Brea, CA
College: New York University
Resides in: Brea, CA

About Me:
Although from beautiful Southern CA, Laurel moved all the way across the country to attend New York University in the heart of NYC. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Laurel became one of the senior student staff members for NYU's Office of Undergraduate Admissions and was also a Freshmen RA. Now Laurel uses these experiences to help her students understand what schools' admissions offices are looking for and, hopefully, give it to them!

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I was lucky enough to get into and attend my dream school, and I love helping students move one or two steps closer to starting their own college journeys. Additionally, I am really motivated by Revolution's social mission and belief that quality test prep should be available to everyone. I find it such a pleasure to help make that possible.

Jordan Schonig

Jordan S.

Hometown: Chatsworth, CA
College: UC Irvine
Resides in: Chatsworth, CA

About Me:
I'm currently an English major and Film Studies minor at UC Irvine. To avoid the pain of job searching with an English major, and eventually becoming the most well-read bum in Los Angeles (*fingers crossed*), I plan to stay in college as long as possible. Actually, I'll just hold onto these last two years for dear life. In the mean time, I'll be reading and writing, playing guitar to keep my sanity, and teaching kids how to totally own the SAT.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I have the opportunity to teach a class that isn't mind numbingly boring, and I can help kids get into college while I'm at it. Pretty sweet deal.

Sherien Sobhy

Sherien S.

Hometown: Fullerton, CA
College: University of California, Irvine
Resides in: Fullerton, CA

About Me:
I love foreign languages and the social sciences, which is why I chose to double major in International Studies and French at UC Irvine. I returned to UCI to earn my teaching credential in English and went on to teach in Egypt the following year. During my free time, I enjoy kickboxing, hiking, reading, playing piano, and trying new things.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Revolution Prep is unique not only in the way it approaches the SAT, but also in the way in approaches its students. Revolution instructors truly care for their students and are committed to helping them succeed.

Jacob Sparks

Jacob S.

Hometown: Lake Forest
College: UC Irvine
Resides in: Laguna Hills, CA

About Me:
I studied International Relations at UCI, an interest piqued by two years spent living and working in Croatia and Slovenia with a church group. I also studied abroad at Cambridge University, England and traveled to 15 other countries. While in Switzerland I was able to practice one of my favorite hobbies: rock climbing! I climbed the Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps with a friend, an amazing experience. I also enjoy jazz music, reading science fiction and hiking.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I teach for Revolution Prep because I agree with the founding principle, namely, we can prepare students better than anyone. I'm glad to share my talents to help students achieve their college goals.

Joshua Stricker

Joshua S.

Hometown: Broomfield, CO
College: Biola University
Resides in: Whittier, CA

About Me:
Oh hi there. I come to Orange County by way of a suburb of Denver, Colorado. It's a pretty square state, but we have more mountains out there, four seasons, snow, and we survive on less oxygen. I came to sea level to pursue an education at Biola University in La Mirada. La Mirada translates to "the look." I still don't get it. Anyway, it's four years since I moved to The Look, and it was a four years well spent. I was able to host a campus comedy/talk show, backpack through the desert, and take some incredible classes too. I even did some stand-up comedy (really marginal stuff). Now I'm armed with a BA in English Literature, a 1996 Toyota Corolla, and a beard. I believe in the power of narrative and of your story and my story, old stories and stories not yet told. I also enjoy hiking, backpacking, fly fishing, and mountain biking. My goal is to pursue graduate school and eventually teach full time. I'm also interested in the education gap and the unfortunate truth that the quality of education can be determined by economic boundaries. For now, I'm just happy to be here.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Lots of things want to label themselves as a revolution, but most of those things are the too trodden, beat a dead horse kind of recycled ideas that ultimately amount to a gimmick. Sometimes they have a marketable theme song. That's cool I guess, but Revolution Prep actually strives to be different in order to be better. I'm thrilled to work for a company that cares about its students; the tests don't. I say let's attack these tests with our full selves (but without the busy work), and let's even have a good time while we're at it. Seriously, that's what I'm here for.

Robert Swenson

Robert S.

Hometown: Irvine
College: UCLA
Resides in: Irvine, CA

About Me:
Born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA, I first made the journey to Southern California to attend UCLA in 2002 where I studied mechanical engineering. I currently live in Irvine with my wife Kellyn and Buddy, our pet rabbit. I have an unhealthy level of obsession with sports, and also enjoy reading and the outdoors. If you ever need info on the latest in college basketball recruiting or minor league baseball (Doubtful, I know) I'm the man to see.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Revolution Prep keeps my mind sharp and provides me with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of youth. I feel that teaching and tutoring is about far more than just preparing for a test, and hope to make a connection with my students and inspire them to have confidence in their abilities and work toward their goals.

Gunther (JR) Tautenhahn

Gunther (JR) T.

Hometown: Manhattan Beach/Cambria, CA
College: The California State University at Long Beach
Resides in: Santa Monica, CA

About Me:
I am currently attempting to become a Medical Anthropologist and not an actor. I enjoy traveling (just got back from China), playing bass, Angels' baseball, my dog Pete and anything that involves being outside. I can't seem to stop reading either. When I was young, I wanted to become a "sanitation engineer". Sadly, that dream will never be realized.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I work for the Revolution because the Revolution works for students. It's an amazing company that prides itself on offering a good product at a good price, and reaching out to underprivileged students.

William Wojciak

William W.

Hometown: Yorba Linda, CA
College: University of California, San Diego
Resides in: Yorba Linda, CA

About Me:
A graduate of UC San Diego with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I have developed a great appreciation of the richness of life. I am an eternal optimist, a motivator, and someone who values the importance of respect. I have been exposed to an incredible diversity of individuals over the last ten years, and feel that I have truly embraced different cultures, As a continuous learner, I commit myself to being open and receptive to all points of view, and feel that I thrive in situations which push me out of my box and allow me the opportunity to see the beauty of the world. During my proud four years at Troy High School, I discovered my love for politics and public speaking. As a member of the distinguished Warrior baseball team, I was blessed with the privilege of playing with a group of dedicated and motivated athletes who were among my closest friends. Challenged by the new opportunity that college presented, I feel that I truly flourished as a member of the Revelle College family at UCSD. A school that promotes "Renaissance Scholars," I ran with the chance to earn a well-rounded education, participating in and leading a number of organizations and causes, and seeking out once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. I try not to concern myself with what lies ahead, but always set meaningful goals for what I aspire to become. My loftiest and most cherished goal is that of being President of the United States, which I sincerely believe I will once day achieve.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
Revolution is built on a solid foundation, and the course material really works to build a students' confidence in the test. Revolution is a fair and welcoming company, both to work for and to study with. I am proud to be a part of the team of instructors at Revolution Prep.

Sarah Yoo

Sarah Y.

Hometown: Cerritos
College: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
Resides in: Cerritos, CA

About Me:
I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and went to Cerritos High School where the demographic was 80% Asians. I went on to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (or as we came to call it COW Poly SLOW), majoring in architecture and had the culture shock of my life. I became a sister of alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority to help transition into college and the SLO life. I had an amazing time, they became my second family and my home away from home. I currently work full time in our family’s construction firm as a project manager in addition to teaching for Revolution Prep. I recently got married in 2007 and we have two precious furbabies: Baby our 5 year old Shitzu/Poodle mix and Oreo our 1 year old Japanese Chin/Maltese mix. I love good company, good food and good conversation.

Why I teach at Revolution Prep:
I have been an unfortunate victim of "SAT Academy" aka "Cram School" when I was in high school. It was a mind numbingly boring experience, not to mention a waste of money. Instructors were stuck on auto pilot, regurgitating the curriculum in a monotonous voice. Ugh… One of the many reasons why I love to teach for Revolution Prep is their fresh and fun approach to teaching and breaking down the SATs into bite size chunks. I wish Revolution Prep was around when I was in high school, it's the type of prep class students WANT to attend not the type parents FORCE their kids to attend. I also love the fact that they make it available and affordable to all those that wish to learn. I believe everyone should have a fair chance and fight on the same platform towards a common goal, which in this case is getting into college.
