SAT or ACT?

Given that both the SAT and ACT® are accepted at most colleges, students often question which test they should take.

The major difference between the two is that the SAT primarily tests critical thinking and problem solving, while the ACT is content-based and focuses more on what students have previously learned. In general, on the SAT the questions are the hardest part, but on the ACT it is the content that is the most challenging.

If you are unsure which test to take, we recommend taking a full-length practice test in both and then focus your test prep on the one you scored the highest.
