Sarah holds a BA in English and Music from Pomona College, where she played the flute in the college orchestra. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and she graduated cum laude and Phi Betta Kappa from Pomona. She went on to complete her MA in Curriculum and Teaching in the Elementary Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds a teaching license in Elementary Education in Virginia and New York.
Sarah has experience teaching elementary school, as well as extensive experience tutoring elementary school students, middle school students, and high school students in everything from reading comprehension to study skills to test prep. Sarah approaches each student as a unique individual and has had success working with students with ADHD and IEPs. Students absolutely love working with her because of her patience and ability to explain concepts in new and memorable ways.
