Brittany earned a BA in English with Honors from the Florida State University College of Arts and Sciences in 2009. While enrolled, she was a news reporter for the campus newspaper, The FSView. She was also a poetry and design editor for the undergraduate literary magazine, The Kudzu Review, and a contributing staff member to the graduate literary magazine, The Southeast Review. She was fortunate to learn from some great literary minds while there such as Julianna Baggott and James Kimbrell.
After graduation, Brittany spent six months in Costa Rica and became certified as an ESOL teacher. She also strengthened her Spanish language skills and worked as a substitute teacher for Blue Ocean, a local elementary school.
Since her return to the states, Brittany has focused on her work as an instructor and private tutor. She has accrued over a thousand instructional hours with Revolution Prep since 2011, helping high school students reach their goals for the SAT and the ACT. She also specializes in tutoring high school students in all levels of English, including AP English Language and reading comprehension.
