Leslie earned her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in Elementary Education from Adelphi University where she was given a Dean's Scholarship each year. She then completed her Master's degree in Childhood Education from SUNY New Paltz. Leslie has held teaching positions as a math specialist in an elementary school, a middle school math teacher, a home and hospital teacher, and a college adjunct instructor for math, as well as providing private tutoring for over ten years.
Leslie's greatest strength as a tutor is her ability to build her students’ self confidence by adapting her teaching methods based on each student's learning style. Leslie has experience supporting students with ADD/ADHD and Dyslexia. She views her role as a mentor: not simply a tutor who walks each student through the skills at hand, but one who considers the whole student and guides them moving forward.
