Meet our founders
We have a vision to transform education and create techniques that work for today's students. –Ramit Varma
Ramit Varma
While attending the University of Maryland on a full academic scholarship, Ramit spent three years as a teacher and Master Trainer for Princeton Review and discovered how much he loved working with students. After graduating with honors with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he worked as an Information Technology Consultant for Deloitte Consulting, where he stayed until going to business school at UCLA. There, he met Jake, and they realized they shared a passion for teaching and saw an opportunity to build a company devoted to helping students achieve their academic goals.
In 2002, they co-founded Revolution Prep, and it’s now the third-largest SAT and ACT test prep company in the country and a rapidly growing provider of web-based K-12 learning tools. While Revolution is well on its way to becoming the company Jake and Ramit always knew it could be, Ramit is still as excited about his work and the company’s future as he was at the beginning.

We have never turned a student away because he or she could not afford our program, and we never will. –Jake Neuberg
Jake Neuberg
While an undergrad at UC Berkeley, Jake worked in investment banking at Montgomery Securities to support himself. After graduating, he worked in finance at Trust Company of the West. Jake then decided to pursue his interest in teaching and mentoring by working as a test prep teacher at Kaplan. While he loved working with students, he found that he had significant philosophical differences with the Kaplan program and craved the freedom to use the techniques he knew could help students dramatically improve their scores. While attending the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, Jake met Ramit, and together they came up with the idea to create Revolution Prep. They wanted to create a company and an environment that they could truly be proud of. At Revolution Prep, students’ needs are placed first, long-term skills are emphasized, and confidence is built. Wherever students are trying to go, Jake, Ramit, and the rest of Revolution Prep can help them get there.
