Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions parents ask about AP® practice exams.

1) What exactly is included in this AP practice exam?

Each practice exam includes the multiple-choice section only. Free-response questions (FRQs) are not included. This is designed to give students a high-impact, timed baseline and clear guidance on what to study next.

2) Is it timed and delivered online like a real AP experience?

Yes. Students complete a timed, digital multiple-choice practice exam in an online interface built to feel like a real test run.

3) How long does it take?

Most students finish in 60–90 minutes, depending on the AP subject and pacing. You can start anytime and take it in one sitting.

4) When do we get results?

Results are available immediately after completion, including a detailed report that highlights strengths, gaps, and topic-level next steps.

5) Do I have to choose just one AP exam to start?

Yes. You’ll enroll in one AP® exam first. After logging in, you can add additional AP® practice exams anytime at no cost.

6) What device does my student need?

A laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection and a modern browser (Chrome is recommended). We’ll send setup instructions after enrollment.

7) What happens after the exam?

You’ll be able to review the score report, and you can book a complimentary test-prep strategy session with a Revolution Prep advisor to translate results into a clear AP® prep plan.

Is the AP practice exam really free?

Yes. There’s no cost and no credit card required.

Which AP subjects do you offer?

We currently offer practice exams for: AP® Biology, AP® Chemistry, AP® U.S. History, AP® Calculus AB, AP® Calculus BC, and AP® Physics 1.

Is this a full-length AP exam?

No. It’s the multiple-choice section only. It’s meant to be a focused diagnostic—so students can study smarter, sooner.

Can my student retake the exam?

Yes. If you want a second baseline later in the season, you can retake to measure progress and refine the plan.

Will our results be shared with schools or College Board?

No. Results are private and visible only to your family (and a Revolution Prep advisor if you choose to discuss them).

Is this helpful if my student is already doing well in AP class?

Yes. Strong students often use this to confirm readiness, find a few high-impact improvement areas, and reduce uncertainty before test day.

Can you support students with accommodations?

If your student has extended-time needs, contact us after enrollment and we’ll help align timing where possible for practice purposes.
