Is the SAT® Right For You?

Families often wonder whether the SAT® still matters. It does — because test scores remain one of the clearest ways for colleges to compare students across different schools, grading systems, and states.

In a competitive admissions landscape, strong SAT® results can validate your child’s academic readiness and stand out on applications, even at “test-optional” schools.

Take a free practice exam to see whether the SAT® should be part of your student's path.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the SAT now digital?

Yes. The SAT® and PSAT® are fully digital and adaptive, delivered through College Board’s Bluebook app.

2) Is the practice test digital like the real SAT?

Yes. Our platform mirrors the official digital experience — including adaptive sections, timing, breaks, navigation tools, and the embedded Desmos graphing calculator — so students know exactly what to expect on test day.

3) What devices are allowed for the digital SAT?

Students can use a school-issued or personal laptop or Chromebook with the Bluebook testing app installed.

4) Can my student use a calculator?

Yes. On the digital SAT®, students may use a calculator on every math question. Our online practice includes the official Desmos graphing calculator built into the test screen, just like the real exam.

5) Do you provide accommodations for students with learning differences or extended-time needs?

Yes. Our practice SAT® and PSAT® sessions can be adjusted to reflect the same accommodations your student receives on official exams — including extended time, extra breaks, small-group settings, and screen-reader compatible materials. Just note any approved accommodations when registering, and we’ll make sure your student’s practice mirrors their official testing experience.

6) How long does it take?

Plan for about 2.5–3 hours including short breaks. Your confirmation will include the exact schedule.

7) When do we get results?

Right after the test — instant scores appear in your account with section-by-section breakdowns.

Is the practice test really free?

Yes. There’s no cost and no credit card required — it’s truly free.

Who is this best for?

Students in grades 9–12 who want a baseline before the real SAT® or who want to compare SAT® vs. ACT® fit.

What does “adaptive” mean?

The test adjusts difficulty based on performance, providing more accurate results in less time.

Can students take the SAT on paper?

No. All official SAT® and PSAT® exams are now digital.

Do practice SAT tests simulate the digital format?

Yes — our practice tests replicate the official digital interface and adaptive structure so students can train in the same environment they’ll see on test day.

What technology do we need?

A laptop or desktop with stable internet and a modern browser (e.g., Chrome). We’ll send setup instructions in your confirmation.

What’s in the strategy brief?

Clear guidance on your student’s SAT® fit, recommended test dates, and their top 2–3 improvement priorities.

Can we retake or reschedule?

Yes. Use the link in your confirmation email to change or rebook your date.

Will our scores be shared with schools?

No. Your results are private and shared only with your family.

What happens after the test?

You’ll receive a free 1:1 review with a Test Prep Advisor to interpret scores and plan next steps.
